Renovation Beside the River

This beautiful property is nestled beside the North Branch Chicago River and sits in a flood plain. The unaspiring backyard was a field of overgrown weeds. The river tends to overflow during storm season, therefore we created an Eden stone wall to elevate the bluestone patio and upper level planting away from the flood line. The lower level yard consists of moist loving plants, which will thrive in this environment. Our stone masons, built a dining patio, seating wall, and bar for the home owners to enjoy. An outdoor lighting system was installed to make the space functional after sunset.
